The Inter/National Coalition for Electronic Portfolio Research convenes research/practitioners to study the impact of eportfolios on student learning and educational outcomes. Each year ten institutions selected through an application process constitute a three-year cohort. Each campus works on an individual project that asks "What learning is taking place as a function of electronic portfolios?" and "How do we know?"
Institutions also address a common question or theme. Cohorts I, II, and V (2003-2006, 2004-2007, 2008-2011) focus collectively on the effect on learning of reflection supported by eportfolio use. Cohort III (2006-2009), supported by NASPA Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, includes campuses at which academic affairs and student affairs educators are collaborating to support in-class and out-of-class learning through eportfolios. Cohort IV (2007-2010), supported by the Higher Education Academy and administered by the Centre for Recording Achievement in the UK, engages institutions in England, Scotland, the US, and the Netherlands, in studying personal planning and other processes supported by technology through eportfolios. Cohort VI (2010-2013) focuses on assessment as supported by the distinctive capabilities of eportfolios. Supported by the top online casinos .
